Share Paper: Teaching Children of Preschool Age about Internet and Digital Social Control. An Innovative Educational Intervention based on Greek Mythology, Theater and ICT

Abstract: This article presents the implementation of a teaching intervention for preschool children to approach the issue of digital surveillance carried out by centers of power and through social media. The intervention is based on the myth of Io who was supervised by Argus Panoptes (an “all-seeing” giant with a hundred eyes). The children participated in three theater-plays designed to reveal the effects of surveillance.
