Abstract: This paper shows, on the one hand, the methodological design and scaffolding that have been designed in the Family Guidance elective course, that is offered for the degrees in Education and Primary Education at the University of Navarra (Spain), to enable students enrolled in this course for the acquisition of certain skills. On the other hand, the satisfaction’s degree of these students is shown. The results suggest that the design of scaffolding students’ strategies in a course that combines both theoretical and practical focus can achieve the acquisition of skills, resulting in overall satisfaction. It is suggested that professor should choose their teaching methodology based on their own discipline focus, the competencies who wish to foster in his/her students, and on his/her own aptitudes as a professor.
