Abstract: This study discusses insights into teaching statistics online. It compares the performance of students in two sections of an online business statistics course. One section utilized the Connect platform from McGraw-Hill and the other utilized the MyStatLab platform from Pearson. These electronic platforms were used to introduce students to the content of the course on a weekly basis and to provide students a platform to complete and check their homework problems, as well as access to online tutorials when needed. The format and topics of the two courses were the same, the only difference were the electronic platforms. The findings show that student performance was not significantly different in the two sections. Suggesting that online delivery with an electronic platform is an effective way to teach statistics.
