Abstract: The goal of this research project is to better understand Japanese students’ use of communication technologies (CT) as they adjust to life in American universities. The scope of the study includes 143 Japanese students from a large research university in Tokyo who are studying at various universities across America. Preliminary results will be presented and roundtable participants are encouraged to provide feedback on the study and offer examples and ideas based on their own research on international students and technology.
