Share Paper: Professional Twitter for Preservice Teachers: Getting Started with a Professional Presence on Social Media
Abstract: Education majors at a midsize university in the Northeastern United States arrive to their first professional education course as college sophomores, with a plethora of personal social media accounts. However, they have no professional social media accounts. This project focuses on college sophomores who were introduced to professional social media accounts. Pre and post-semester survey results indicate that introducing education majors to professional social media accounts opens up a new source of professional connectivity and communication.
