Abstract: As technology such as iPads, laptops, and tablets are implemented into elementary classrooms it is important to fully utilize the technology’s potential. Textbooks are quickly transitioning from hardback paper media to electronically distributed multimedia-rich content or even stand alone software applications. This transition to electronic media can often frustrate teachers who have years of experience with traditional learning methods such as textbooks and written papers. Teachers are heavily encouraged or forced to use online materials and teaching pedagogy but are often given infrequent, loosely structured guidance and instruction on how to use the technology.
