Abstract: In January of 2013 a case study was launched that seeks to identify essential conditions that embed media into higher education learner experiences. This educational media study, currently in its reporting phase, has gathered learner-directed study habits, utilized these findings to redesign faculty-directed activities, and uncovered the value and impact of both approaches with learners in this context. This paper will briefly situate, and scope this investigation within the current media and adoption literature, provide the theoretical framework for the study, and introduce 4 characters at play in this context that are contributing to this study’s report of findings.
