Abstract: Well designed instructor training and ongoing support are essential in transforming from Didactic Teaching to Engaged Learning using Adobe Connect to connect with On and Off campus Students Online in Real Time. Charles Sturt University's shift from Wimba to Adobe Connect required best practice hands on training to engage academic support staff and prepare them to on-train the entire university faculty. Rather than replicating the face to face lecture environment emphasis was placed on moving to fully utilising the capabilities offered by Adobe Connect. Faculty were able to transform from Didactic Teaching to Engaged Learning with casual staff also able to continue the role with sufficient support.
