Abstract: Technology innovation is becoming necessary to compete academically and professional in a global society. Consequently, educators are tasked with the responsibility of preparing students and colleagues to be 21st century learners. Communities of practice (Lave and Wenger, 1991) can be a way for educators to reinvent their teaching and learning through understanding “new roles of the instructor and learner”. In the session, I will be presenting a virtual newsletter entitled: “Digital Discoveries” that is used as a tool to help teachers collaborate and share their technology practices. This is the fourth year of the Digital Discoveries newsletter where faculty members can read about the integration practices of their colleagues in a bi-weekly publication http://www.abss.k12.nc.us/Page/13161.
