Abstract: In this study, we developed an e-portfolio system that cultivates student’s problem- solving ability through literature review activity for master’s thesis study. We have already proposed the concept of our system but have not designed its details. Therefore, we design and then implement our e-portfolio system as following process. Firstly, we clarify necessary instructions for students in lessons and laboratory seminars. Secondly, we examine the model of his/her thinking process from finding a literature for review to preparing a resume and a presentation slides file for a seminar. This reveals information resources required to be utilized by students, knowledge that they should acquire, and information useful to promote and improve their learning and research activity. Thirdly, based on the above discussion, we design a method to evaluate information entered by students and a method to provide feedback to improve their activities.
