Abstract: There is increasing use of eSubmission in Higher Education (HE) institutions in the UK. Initially it has been implemented by individual academics and occasionally across sections of a department. However, there is growing interest in the development of more strategic and university-wide adoption of this practice and the need for accompanying policies and changes to assessment regulations and attitudes. This research on the use of eSubmission was undertaken through the UK Heads of eLearning Forum (HeLF). It provides a strategic overview of current practice across the UK HE sector; identifies the drivers for this change and the impact of eSubmission.
