Abstract: This paper examines the use of one mobile learning project at an higher education institution with a campus-wide mobile learning initiative (MLI). As part of the MLI, all students and interested faculty were provided with iPads. This study examines how those devices were integrated and used in a general education science course. Specifically, this study examines how iPads were used by instructors and students to enhance the teaching and learning experience in an Introductory Biology course. The data indicated that students used the devices extensively to access, seek, and share information related to course content. Further, the data demonstrated that integrating the devices and available apps enriched student learning experiences and helped lead to meaningful learning through the use of various modeling software and through the development of student-generated stop-frame animations. The devices provided just-in-time access and support for content and communication and enabled students
