Abstract: In this research, authors made CG (Computer Graphics) animations based on measured data captured by using the Xsens MVN motion capture system for the two types of traditional Japanese folk dance, ‘Minbu’ and ‘Kagura’. Then we tried to investigate whether those CGs were useful to the learners using them in their dance practice. As a result, through reducing the information by CG, learners could have gained the objective perspective, which will support the mastery of the dance performance by looking back at themselves. It has become obvious that there is ‘awareness’ to improve by changing their movement to the CG.
