The study of optimal adjustable quantity strategies in the E-HSCM
Abstract: This proposal is to establish an E-hospital supply chain management (E-HSCM) including three district hospitals and three kinds of medicine which have same cure function for seeking the optimal dispatched quantities. The main assumption is that different hospitals may construct their own safety stock levels for each kind of medicine to meet the demand variability. When one kind of medicine is in shortage, the doctor may choose another kind of medicine with the same cure function to replace the one out of stock. In this proposal, the researcher will construct the dynamic system of the E-HSCM and to develop the adjustable strategies to avoid the occurrence of the medicine shortage and to minimize the safety stock for each kind of medicine. Finally, based on the difference between the actual demand and the forecasted demand, the adjustable strategies will be developed to avoid the shortage situation.
