Share Paper: Turning Data to Knowledge with Serious Games and Contextual Quizzes

Abstract: This paper explores how games and quizzes can make use of the data, which describes the entities, places and events of a domain, to shift a learner’s experience from passive visualization to active interaction. It also demonstrates how quizzes can be automatically generated from datasets which describe the domain of interest. The design of a simple context data-focused quiz/game is described to illustrate this.
