Abstract: The purpose of this proposal is to provide an empirical examination of fidelity of implementation of a technology mediated, problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum, GlobalEd2. Data from classrooms observations of teachers were used to categorize teachers as having high or low implementation fidelity. Results show significant differences in student outcomes across implementation fidelity groups. While the results are logical, implementation studies such as this on have been neglected in the literature, and we argue are a major contributor to the inconsistent results often published examining the impact of PBL classroom on student learning across domains of study and varied age groups.
