Preliminary factors inhibiting or facilitating synchronous communication in an international project.
Abstract: This article paves the way for a research and developmental study aiming to check the factors that might benefit or inhibit the participation in international projects where synchronous communication is used. Contextualised around two international exchange project where synchronous communication is used, the overall research study is divided in three differentiated parts: pre-factors, while-factors and post-factors; focused on the preliminary factors, the following lines will draw the process followed on the development of a survey that will be used on the first part of the general study, taking into account the literature given on the topic, theoretical considerations on the teachers' role on classrooms using computers and on the information taken from two focus group interviews, some forums opened during professional development sessions.
