Share Paper: Recommending Relevant Topics of Study: Planning a Study Case

Abstract: This paper presents a mechanism for suggesting relevant topics of study in an educational support tool. This tool uses a domain ontology as knowledge structure. The proposed research is to investigate whether this suggestion of relevance, based on the Relevance Theory, influences and benefits the student who uses such tool. We present the ontology development process and the planning of an exploratory case study. The research methodology and the plan for data collection are also presented.
