Abstract: Using a software package called, “Moodle” (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment), an mLearning suite was developed as a supporting medium for Basic Photography instruction. Learning and communication elements were in the forms of PowerPoint, document, and other types of files. Due to restrictions in the software, most of these files had to be converted into .pdf format. External sources of learning appear as links to other internet websites. Logs of activities, web board, and exchange of various kinds of information between the instructor and students were also prominent features of this mLearning structure. In general, students’ learning was enhanced and they also found this added feature in their learning environment in support of the face-to-face traditional instructional scheme to be a positive one. A more ambitious approach is being planned so that certain limitations in the current system can be substantially eliminated.
