Abstract: In courses such as compiler construction and programming languages, learners have to use several languages. As a result, inessential issues such as installation procedures often overwhelm learners. Though Web-based applications can potentially ease such problems, it is not always easy for teachers to prepare Web-based applications for learning programming. We have constructed an Eclipse-RCP based Web application framework called Wappen. We have put a Wappen application into practice in some classes. This paper reports some outcomes of this practice.
