Selecting Content for Reusable Digital Video in Teacher Education
Brief Paper: New Development
ID: 6098
Abstract: Reusability is especially important in the creation of original digital video. This paper describes considerations for developing reusable video content for various teacher education initiatives at a university. These guidelines are based on the theory and practice of video use in teacher education and recurring principles of instructional design. While there are several initiatives to develop reusability standards on a national and global level, this paper presents guidelines and strategies for content selection at college level that would fit with mission of the institution as well as coordinate with prospective global standards.
