Biography

As the Assistant Director for Accessibility for TTU eLearning and Academic Partnerships, Terry provides support to instructors to develop accessible course materials in both hybrid and online courses for Texas Tech University. Before her employment with Texas Tech University, Terry was a Texas public school teacher/district coordinator in Special Education, Dyslexia, ESL, and general elementary. In 2011, Terry was contracted to write curriculum for TTU K-12. Thanks to a great team and good timing, she was hired full-time with TTU K-12 as a senior editor, which subsequently paved her way to working in TTU Worldwide eLearning in her current position as the Assistant Director of Accessibility. Terry earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Southwest Texas State University and Master of Education in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. When she is not working, Terry and her husband, Eric chase their two kids, a grown son and an almost grown daughter. Some of her favorites are being a beach bum, perpetually working on her book “You Just Made My Book,” traveling, doing anything with her family, collecting shoes, and laughing.
