Biography
Dr. Patrick Guilbaud currently serves as the Director of Extended Education / Summer Programs and Associate Professor at Winthrop University. With over 25 years of experience in higher education and the private sector, Dr. P. Guilbaud currently leads the development and rollout of tailored academic and training programs that are focused on helping adult and underrepresented learners strengthen their skills and competencies for success in high demand careers both in the private and public sectors. Dr. Guilbaud’s expertise spans the fields of eLearning, adult education, instructional design and technology, faculty development, international business, project management, and program evaluation. Dr. Guilbaud’s research explores ways in which the integration and use learning technologies and open education resources impact or influence knowledge acquisition, competency development, and career readiness of adult learners and specifically those from diverse social and economic backgrounds. Dr. Guilbaud holds a PhD in Learning Systems and Technology, a master’s degree in Systems Engineering, and an MBA, all from the University of Virginia. Dr. P. Guilbaud also holds a BSBA in finance from the University of Florida.
