Biography

I have more than 20 years of experience in the education field, working as a teacher, librarian, researcher, and consultant in K-12 and higher education settings. I hold a doctorate in Digital Education Leadership and teach online courses and advise graduate students in pre-service and in-service teacher education programs. I am passionate about creating equitable, engaging, and effective technology-enhanced learning experiences for diverse learners, using innovative methods and tools.

As an Education Researcher & Consultant, I conduct local, national, and international research projects on various topics related to education technology, such as online teaching, open educational resources (OERs), open access (OA), and networked participatory scholarship (NPS). I am skilled in designing, managing, analyzing data, and sharing findings from various types of research studies, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. I publish my research in high-impact journals, collaborate with co-authors from different backgrounds and disciplines, and advocate for OERs and OA and NPS practices.

My commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, justice, and belonging (DEIAJB), has spanned my entire career. I demonstrate my commitment through constant professional learning and evaluating my teaching, consulting, and research practices with DEIAJB lenses. I believe educators at all levels have a unique opportunity and responsibility to help their students to become DEIAJB upstanders.
