Biography
I received my Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with an Emphasis in Logistics from the University of Arkansas in 2012. I am a former small business owner and engineering consultant. I also obtained my Master of Science in Learning Technologies & Design: Online Education and Graduate Certificate in College Teaching from the University of Missouri in 2021 as well as my Graduate Certificate in Serious Games & Simulation Design in 2022. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Information Science & Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri. My research interests include game-based learning, attitudes and perceptions about video games in the classroom, serious games & simulation design, and cultivating stealth learning opportunities using existing digital games. I am primarily focused on serious game design and researching implementations of digital games in the classroom. I have published multiple papers in SITE proceedings and have presented at SITE yearly since I began my doctoral program. You can read more about me and see all of my publications on my website.
