Elizabeth Hansen consults in the area of curriculum development for distance education. Her focus is in utilizing backward design with brain theory to create engaging and effective curriculum.

Biography

Elizabeth Hansen earned a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Special Education in 1999. Following the award of her degree she spent twelve years teaching special education in Junior High and High School in Illinois and Utah. Returning to university she earned a Masters degree in Education in Instructional Design from Western Governors University. She spent two years working with Independence University as a consultant helping to upgrade their curriculum in the schools of General Education, Health Science, Technology, Graphic Arts, and Business. She serves on the National Program Advisory Committee for Independence University in the areas of General Education and Distance Education.
