Biography

I was born and raised in a small town nestled in the foothills of the Italian Alps. After graduating from Aviano American High School in Italy, I moved to southern California and attended Biola University and Chapman University. I graduated with a B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems.

In December of 2014, I graduated from Purdue University with a Masters of Science in Education, with an emphasis on Learning Design and Technology. I have over 20 years experience in computers, ranging from programming to website and graphic design, technical support to computer training. My early years of employment included the Air Force, Biola University, and Eateries, where I held positions such as computer programmer, corporate trainer, and Management Information Systems Director.

In 2009, my focus shifted into the field of education, where I taught PK-12 students computer science application. I also taught AP Computer Science Principles, Italian, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and other Adobe Apps, video media, yearbook and computer internship classes.

In 2012, I became Director of Technology and Professional Development for Crossings Christian School in Oklahoma City. I was the catalyst for change in the school, bringing instructional technology into the classroom. My responsibilities also included the implementation of one-to-one technology at the high school level. The implementation included the roll-out of devices, training teachers and sustaining the program.

Grapevine Faith Christian School recruited me in 2016 to implement a similar one-to-one technology program and to oversee their technology department. I am currently the Director of Technology at Grapevine Faith Christian School, a second-year Ph.D. student in the Learning Technologies Department at UNT, and a second-year Teaching Fellow for the UNT Learning Technologies Department.
