Take a look at the TPACK Wikipedia page. If you know the theory you will see the content is outdated and marginally relevant. Since its inception in 2016, it has hardly been edited! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_pedagogical_content_knowledge
This session is dedicated to taking a look at the difference between where we are as a field in the development of the TPACK framework (it continues to advance!), and the representation of TPACK in Wikipedia.
You should attend this session if you are interested in thinking about the role "we" (researchers) have in these social media spaces such as Wikipedia.
Session facilitators are TPACK SIG leaders and members. We are interested in gathering a group of researchers to collaboratively look at the existing content and consider updates that are needed for the TPACK Wikipedia page be relevant to those who traditionally turn to Wikipedia as a way to get oriented to theory - in this case, scholars who are considering using TPACK in research as well as educators who might want to consider TPACK as a framework for teacher development.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
