Abstract: In the effort to meet the need for creating realism during medical force sustainment for military scenarios, a more complete level of immersion supports a more realistic and authentic framing for supporting the transfer of knowledge. Experiential learning paradigms in medical simulation currently support this approach to instructional design by offering a framework to allow learners to meet learning objectives on their terms.
