Abstract: This study investigated the relationship between collaboration role and data literacy with the support of CSCL. Participants were pre-service teachers of information technology. Based on a data mining project, 3-4 people were divided into a group. To examine the performance difference, a high performance group and a low performance group were selected as the research object. Through the collection and coding of their dialogue, we used epistemic network analysis, chi-square test, and co-occurrence statistics to analyze the collaboration role's characteristics and relationship with data literacy. And explore how roles and data literacy together contribute to differences in group performance. The results show that the inventor-questioner role is the core role, which jointly promotes the positive knowledge construction. The role of promoter plays an important role in optimizing the discussion process. Specific collaborative roles and data literacy relationships influence the group Performance.
