Abstract: There is a lot of research on data mining processes, among which CRISP-DM (CRoss-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) is widely regarded as a general standard process with six stages. And data literacy is an important capability in the data mining process. This study is based on a data mining course for pre-service information technology teachers. The discussion discourse of high and low performance groups was collected, coded and statistically analyzed. This study found the distribution of each stage in the data mining process and the difference of groups from data literacy. This research provides empirical evidence for the subsequent cultivation of data literacy.
