Abstract: The purpose of this symposium is to disseminate current research on the best practices for implementing and developing educators’ TPACK. The goal of this symposium is to engage the TPACK community in dialogue regarding how best to leverage and develop TPACK and its subdomains in practice. Specifically, we focus on how the iterative evolution of digital technologies has fundamentally changed the practical application of TPACK in teaching subject-specific content. The symposium will begin with a brief introductory presentation by the session facilitators followed by a brief overview from the discussant on how attendees can participate throughout the entire symposium. The discussant will encourage participants to post questions and ideas inspired by the presentations in the session’s discussion thread in Academic Experts. To encourage their participation, a graphic will be included on all the slides directing attendees to the session’s discussion thread. After the discussant’s overview, individual presentations will take place (15-minutes each). During the presentations, the discussant will moderate and note emergent themes from the discussion thread. After all presentations have concluded, the discussant will report on emergent themes, questions, and other ideas posted in the session’s discussion thread, leading all attendees in a discussion and encourage attendees to ask additional questions.
