An inquiry of Pre-service teachers’ cooperative learning effectiveness in terms of learning efficacy and learning power
Abstract: Based on the two dimensions of learning power and learning efficacy, Typology methods is used to explore the cooperative learning effectiveness of 339 Pre-service teachers (total of 113 teams) in Shanghai, China. Analysis methods such as cluster analysis, variance analysis and decision tree model are used. We found that:1) Four types of cooperative learning teams into Perfect (highest learning power and highest learning efficacy), Confident (lower learning power and higher learning efficacy), Potential (higher learning power, lower learning efficacy), Negative (lowest learning power, lowest learning efficacy); 2) Compared with learning power, learning efficacy has stronger type recognition for the classification of cooperative learning teams, and has a higher impact on learning effects; 3) Cooperative efficacy, creativity, curiosity and collective efficacy are important factors that affect team cooperative learning. Based on this, suggestions such as reasonable grouping, precise guidance, creativity and curiosity stimulation were put forward.
