Share Paper: Redesigning Educational Technology Experiences for Preservice Teachers: An Integrated Approach

Abstract: The Michigan Department of Education initiated revisions in the State’s teacher certification structure in 2018. This initiative has created space and the opportunity for reflection and action to refine the preservice teacher education experience. This paper presents and provides discussions about how a teacher education program at a major university in Michigan is currently redesigning educational technology experiences for future educators. In particular, the paper presents how, and in what ways, the program will move from a single required educational technology course to a more integrated approach.
