The Evaluation System and Case Study of Computational Thinking - oriented Programming Game
Abstract: Educational programming games play an important role in cultivating computational thinking. However, there is a relatively lack of evaluation research on programming games, which cannot reflect the current situation of programming games in the market. In this study, the evaluation system of computational thinking - oriented programming game including three dimensions of motivation, user experience and computational thinking was proposed. On this basis, 27 programming games at home and abroad were evaluated and analyzed. Results found that the current programming educational games were of some differences in these three aspects. In addition, the programming game products pay little attention to the design of social interaction and computing awareness. Besides, there was an uneven development in overall three dimensions. Finally, this study analyzed typical cases to put forward corresponding suggestions for future educational programming games.
