Abstract: This paper examines the dimensions of reflection in student learning and teacher growth and development in technology-based learning environments (TELE). The topics are background, historical perspective, current issues, strategies, and the author’s personal point of view. Practical ideas and strategies promoting reflection in online teaching such as good question prompts, peer discussion, blogs, wiki, cloud-based learning, and journaling are explored in relation to improving learner outcomes.
