Strategies for Embracing Video Assignments
Abstract: This paper explores the evolutionary process of using video content in the classroom at Athens State University. Initially, Athens State University’s video adoption followed that of most universities where faculty members were the primary content creators and video was used to disseminate information from a sole-source of knowledge. Recently, there was a push forward on the video spectrum to a point where not only are students creating videos to complete assignments, but students are creating and sharing video content and examples in a constructivist style classroom setting. Throughout the paper, you will see the path followed by Athens State University and lessons learned throughout the process as exploration of unique video usage in the classroom occurred.
