Abstract: Technology is reshaping the way people learn, communicate and create. It is also impacting employers’ expectations of college graduates. Despite the increasing importance of technology in work and life, many teacher education programs are falling short in terms of harnessing its full potential to prepare preservice teachers and provide professional development to in-service teachers. Meaningful technology integration takes careful thought and planning. The presenters will describe how they accomplished this by using ISTE 2017 Standards, the 4C framework, and the SAMR model to guide the design and implement six strategies. The presenters will conclude the session with a description of the lessons learned, and their plans for continued technology integration.
