Abstract: Podcasting lends itself to the idea of learning anywhere and at any time. The benefits of using audio, but specifically integrating podcasting are well established in the literature. Student-created podcasts have been shown to improve reading, writing and listening skills (Smythe & Neufeld, 2010), as well as promote student engagement and collaboration and lead to gains in literacy development (Morgan, 2015). Podcasts offer opportunities for students to revisit classroom content and instruction while providing greater opportunities for critical thinking (Shumack & Gilchrist, 2009).
