Abstract: In this paper we focus on the possibilities of a powerful means of improving communication with parents of students with disabilities by utilizing point-of-view (POV) video, specifically Pivothead Wearable imaging glasses, to capture both struggles and successes in the classroom. In comparison to other video recording devices, the Pivothead Wearable Imaging glasses are low cost, easy to use, and unobtrusive. In this paper we share preliminary data from a study at two private schools where students with disabilities and teachers utilized Pivotheads to capture learning moments that were shared with parents.
