Abstract: Technology binds or blinds us? In this symposium, we outline stories from different educational institutions around the world where the technology may be limited but pedagogy is plenty (Paulo Freire). Each presenter first shares our personal experiences related to their teaching technology second they showcase our students' projects that are developed with limited technology and resources. We will draw a picture relating to new media and technologies and application (apps) integration in education in general, we will dialog among culturally diverse and different countries including Azerbaijan, Israel, Japan, Turkey, and the USA with a focus on the role new media and technologies and applications and how these technologies are penetrating the educational environment and shifting the teaching and learning process.
