Abstract: For more than 14 consecutive years the Babson Survey Research group has reported growth in online enrollment. While there is an abundance of best practice literature that describes online program design and pedagogy fewer studies describe how a team-based approach can be used to collect data from participants, on an ongoing basis, for continuous improvement. This paper serves two purposes. It describes how a team developed curriculum, instruction and assessment procedures based on principles of andragogy and pedagogy. It also describes how the team used qualitative data collected at the end of each course, as part of a larger mixed method study, to modify the program's design and pedagogy. Findings will be useful to faculty interested in online program design.
