Abstract: The purpose of this exploratory study was to examine the reactions of preservice teachers to the use of robotic telepresence in early field experiences in their Master of Arts in Teaching program. Since early field experiences are found to have positive impact on teacher development, but are challenging to orchestrate given logistical hurdles, it is important for teacher educators to leverage new technologies that might overcome obstacles and provide classroom exposure. This pilot study provided initial insights from attending field experiences through the use of robotic telepresence.
