Abstract: The Maine Department of Education is developing Pre-K for ME, an open source Pre-K curriculum based on the curriculum developed by Boston Public Schools. Maine is adding an integrated technology supplement for PreK for ME that will be play-based and developmentally appropriate. The technology supplement will be designed for a range of teacher skill levels with technology, and also affordable as this is an open source curriculum and early childhood birth – five centers often have restricted budgets. The technology will be interactive, developmentally appropriate and play-based. The supplement will include ten activities for each of six units and utilize Maine Early Learning and Development Standards together with the 2016 ISTE Standards for Students. This Roundtable will be an opportunity for early childhood professionals to discuss integration of technology into early childhood curriculum using the work from PreK for ME as a base and example.
