Abstract: Disability scooters can be unnoticed in a crowded space, so users with a disability can often be cut off or even overtaken by the crowd. This presentation will present a case study of a first grader using makerspace items to create assistive technology. Created items include an LED lighted flagpole for a disability scooter and a flashing glove for the scooter user to use to signal a turn after dark.
