Abstract: This paper will demonstrate how teacher education candidates engaged local teachers in efforts to support the adoption of a new learning management system for the school district The paper will also demonstrate how contextual factors within the school district, in the school buildings, and among teachers impacted teachers’ adoption of technology  Candidates interpreted these factors in ways to develop meaningful professional development opportunities for teachers
