Counterintuitive Science Instruction Supported with Wireless Web
Virtual Brief Paper
ID: 41882
Abstract: This presentation reflects on a project involving counterintuitive science teaching supported with wireless web. Undergraduate students enrolled in a science education course used 4G WiMax USB adapters to access videos of counterintuitive science demonstrations to support practice teaching in local classrooms. The current status of the project is discussed in terms of the use of counterintuitive demonstration in science education, integration of wireless web resources in science teaching, and field-based teacher preparation in science. Advantages and disadvantages along with policy implications are addressed.
