Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not some content specific/purposeful math and science activities/projects (informally and via explicit instruction) would enhance Pre-K children’s learning of math and science skills and concepts. A total of 58 Pre-K children identified at risk for school failure (24 girls and 34 boys) distributed across four classrooms participated in this study. A quasi-experimental design was used to examine the effect of carefully planned math and science activities/projects (intervention) on children’s learning.
