Abstract: This paper will describe the DiscoveryMission pedagogical approach to classroom teaching and the process through which this pedagogy was developed. The DiscoveryMission process has been designed specifically to facilitate a student-centered learning experience – one where the teacher starts the student along a path, but the student takes the lead role in actually traveling that path. More specifically, the student gets to dictate how he or she gets to complete different educational missions, and the teacher is there to guide the student to successful completion.
