Abstract: With the millennium development goals (MDGs), technological literacy is fast becoming a common priority among many developing nations. Due to the scarcity of instructional materials that can enhance understanding of the concept of technology among primary school students in Nigeria, a Project-Based DVD developed in Jamaica, was adapted with permission of the authors, and trial-tested in Nigeria. One hundred primary school pupils were selected from two local government areas of Bauchi State, and involved in the study. The participants were given a pretest, exposed to the content of the DVD, and given a posttest. Findings of the study indicate a remarkable improvement in their performances in the post-test. This reveals the influence and usefulness of the developed resource on the learners. The study recommended for the adoption and use of the DVD as an introductory learning resource in technology education for the primary schools in Nigeria and beyond.
